We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Nursing Associate who has completed the TNA programme to join our district nursing teams within Dudley Community Services. 

We want people who are committed to delivering high standards of care, are able to work as part of a team player, but also have the confidence to work independently without direct supervision.

We have  Full Time, Part Time, Permanent and Fixed Term  positions available.  You will be assigned to work within one of 5  Clusters which cover the following areas:-

1.  Coseley, Sedgley & Gornal

2. Dudley & Netherton

3. Kingswinford, Brierley Hill & Kinver

4. Halesowen & Quarry Bank

5. Stourbridge, Lye & Wollescote

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide nursing care to patients within their own homes and in clinic settings.

You must have effective communication and interpersonal skills, be prepared to work flexibly and collaboratively to meet the needs of the service and demonstrate a willingness to extend and develop your existing skills. In return, we will offer you development opportunities, clinical supervision and mentorship support and deliver a formal induction programme.

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse Associate with NMC
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of professional development

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Commitment to evidence based practice
Desirable criteria
  • Computer literate
  • Competent in clinical skills i.e. ECG, venepuncture.
  • Experience of working in a community setting

Communication & Relationship skills

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrates a caring attitude to patient care
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written
  • Must be able to commute to meet the need of a community staff nurse

Planning & Organisational Skills

Essential criteria
  • Able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care

Knowledge & Training

Essential criteria
  • Keen to develop own skills and develop nursing practice
  • Evidence of professional development
  • Has up to date knowledge of current nursing issues and changes to NHS
