Job overview

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Community Staff Nurses to join our district nursing teams within Dudley Community Services.  We have vacancies across various sites throughout the Borough. We want nurses who are committed to delivering high standards of care, are able to work as part of a team player, but also have the confidence to work independently without direct supervision.

We have Full Time, Part Time, Permanent and Fixed Term positions available.  You will be assigned to work within one of 5  Clusters which cover the following areas:-

1.  Coseley, Sedgley & Gornal

2. Dudley & Netherton

3. Kingswinford, Brierley Hill & Kinver

4. Halesowen & Quarry Bank

5. Stourbridge, Lye & Wollescote

We also have a great opportunity if you are interested in flexible shift patterns.  We are currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated Community Staff Nurses to support our district nurse teams.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide nursing care to patients within their own homes and in clinic settings.

You must have effective communication and interpersonal skills, be prepared to work flexibly and collaboratively to meet the needs of the service and demonstrate a willingness to extend and develop your existing skills.  In return, we will offer you development opportunities, clinical supervision and mentorship support and deliver a formal induction programme.

Essential criteria
  • First level Registered Nurse with NMC
Desirable criteria
  • Nursing degree

Knowledge & Training

Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of undertaking a recognised course of study in teaching and assessing, or commitment to complete
  • Evidence of professional development

Experience

Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in a community setting
  • Substantial post registration experience
  • Completion of preceptorship/support skills
  • Computer literate
  • Venepuncture

  • Able to cope with some unpredictable work patterns and changing circumstances.
