Job overview

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our small, friendly team. We are delighted to be able to welcome new graduates and experienced staff, to be able to rotate between all 3 areas in the department. In the 8-bedded CCU, this is a highly specialised facility caring for patients with various cardiac pathologies/conditions where state of the art cardiac monitors and a computerized rhythm alarm system help us care for them before they move on to the PCCU. This 16-bedded cardiac rehabilitation ward being located next to CCU ensures highly skilled staff are readily available to support continuous education to patients, relatives and the staff. Here you will be supported by a Band 7 senior nurse and a band 6 on duty 24/7 to provide expert support to staff and patients, with a consultant cardiologist contactable 24/7.The Cardiac Catheter Suite comprises of 2 labs and a 5 bedded day case unit. Here you will have opportunity to develop your skills in looking after patients post diagnostic angiograms, pacemakers, and devices, to name but a few of the procedures that take place here. You will have the opportunity to work with a mentor and complete competencies, visit sites which perform primary angioplasty and which will lend itself to your revalidation requirements.

Main duties of the job

You will have a formal induction plan and a supernumerary period of induction to the unit. You will have 2 mentors who are engaged in developing your potential, working with you to complete your competencies and striving for the best possible caregivers for our team. We offer the opportunity to develop your mentorship skills, encourage extended roles, and nominate candidates to complete further studies in cardiac care, end of life competencies and band 5 development courses.

We are looking to appoint committed compassionate registered nurses with a keen interest in coronary care and a desire to deliver a great patient experience.

Working for our organisation

At the Dudley Group our patients and staff are at the heart of all that we do and that is to provide a world class service that aligns with our vision of “excellent health care, improved health for all”.  We are seeking to recruit staff who share our vision and values of making Dudley Group an incredible workplace.
