We are looking for a highly motivated, pro-active and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician with recent hospital experience in Preparative Services to work in our busy and friendly Pharmacy Department. You will work as part of a dedicated team involved in the preparation and dispensing of aseptic products that include anticancer therapy and total parenteral nutrition. This job role will also support the provision of Medicines Management Service to Oncology Day Case unit and Georgina Ward. The successful candidate must be registered with The General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician and have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as developed interpersonal skills. · Support the supervision and training of other pharmacy staff daily, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and observing good manufacturing practice. · Aseptic manufacture and preparation processes in sterile conditions using specialist equipment. · Prepare documentation for aseptic processing · Be able to deal with queries and complex issues from other hospital staff and patients in regard to management of the appointment schedules and prescribing of treatment. · They should be an Accredited Checking Technician and/or have a Pre and In-process checking qualification for aseptic services or be prepared to undertake in –house volume checking competencies. · Perform stock management · Contribute to quality management systems. · Support the provision of Medicines Management Service to Oncology Day Case unit and Georgina Ward.
