Job overview

There has never been a better time to join our Trust than now! We provide outpatient services to 3 different hospital sites - Russells Hall, Corbett and The Guest Hospital. We see an average of 80,000 patients per year in the outpatient clinics.
As a larger organisation we have increased opportunities to enhance services, ensuring we provide the best patient experience and clinical outcomes. For our staff this means they can experience a wide and varied career within the outpatient department. We offer a real commitment to supporting your career in an environment where your skills and ideas are valued, where you are supported in developing your full potential and where your individual contribution is recognised, respected and rewarded.

Our Trusts vision is being trusted to provide safe, caring and effective services because people matter and so we look to appoint people who are as passionate about good quality patient care as we are!

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 to join our outpatient team. The outpatient department is based across a number of general and specialty clinics. The post holder needs to have a pro-active, forward thinking attitude towards providing an outstanding service for our patients.

You will be a motivated team player and be committed to your own professional development. There is a requirement for you to be flexible to meet the needs of the clinics. In return we will support you to develop in the role.

Working alongside the outpatient team your role would be to support the sister in setting and maintaining person centred high quality care and ensuring that patient safety and the patient experience are paramount.

Working for our organisation

At the Dudley Group our patients and staff are at the heart of all that we do and that is to provide a world class service that aligns with our vision of “excellent health care, improved health for all”. We are seeking to recruit staff who share our vision and values of making Dudley Group an incredible workplace.

We are committed to becoming a diverse and an inclusive employer and where people feel sense of belonging. Seeking to expand diversity within our teams, we positively encourage applications from under-represented groups such as ethnically diverse, disabled and LGBTQ+ groups. We are also under-represented in-terms of gender within nursing roles and we would welcome applications from people from male and non-binary backgrounds.

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust recognises the values and transferable skills that the Armed Forces community bring and recognise their compatibility with NHS roles.

We are committed to home life balance through flexible working and making reasonable adjustments where possible.
