Job overview

Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead person responsible for developing, managing and measuring the impact of the Trust’s Green Plan
- Embed sustainability into the way in which the Trust operates and delivers services
- Collaborate with partners inside the NHS and beyond to further the Trust’s sustainability goals
- Develop systems and processes to enable the trust to measure and demonstrate performance, striving to exceed local and national targets

Essential criteria
- Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience working at a senior level in a specialist area
Desirable criteria
- Project management qualification
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Have an understanding of the current sustainability agenda within the NHS and carbon management issues
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience of sustainable development, energy and environmental management ideally within a health care environment
- Experience of building effective cross functional working relationships to drive organisational agenda
Analytical
Essential criteria
- Able to analyse, interpret and present complex information from a variety of sources
